I started off with a coffee which came with the cutest tiniest milk cantine I’ve ever seen. My friend got a glass of fresh made orange juice that we thought was really expensive ($5).
We ordered the Light & Fluffy Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes, the Big Brunch Skillet and a side order of Rosemary Bacon and Crispy Rosemary Potatoes.
Mrs. Biederhof’s Legendary Light & Fluffy Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes were definitely worth the wait as they take long to make. I would never order something like this myself because I don’t like blueberries or whipped cream, so i’m happy my friend ordered it. They were so good! They light taste of the blueberries and whipped cream was great, the overall taste was in the pancakes. They look like they would be thick and heavy, however they were quite the opposite.. light and fluffy. We asked for more maple syrup and they brought over a tiny spoon with syrup in it.
the Big Brunch Skillet was great. It has a kick so if you don’t like spice I would not suggest this dish. The items in this dish complimented each other and had so much flavour. They were able to accommodate my request of cooking the eggs over hard.
The Rosemary Bacon was absolutely delicious. The rosemary just added to the taste and wasn’t too much like I thought it would be.
The Crispy Rosemary Potatoes were also delicious. They were full of flavour, the only thing I would have asked for is extra crispy.
I thought the brunch was fantastic and is worth the wait. Expect to wait at least an hour for a table, so plan to go to KSP or grab a coffee at Balzac’s while you wait. The price is a tad pricey for things, orange juice is not worth $5 however the offer 2 scones/biscuits for $5 which is worth it. The service was ok, they didn’t clear any of our dishes until after we left and they squished another chair in our bar table which cramped us.
